Finnick, too, feels more warmth spread through him at Levi's touch. Levi always touches his neck, his chest, his heart; it feels vulnerable, sweet, special. Like the man wants a connection to the parts of Finnick that keep him alive.

For now, he still wears his prosthetic, since it's waterproof and helps him swim and hold onto Levi. He only takes it off to sleep and bathe.

He watches Levi observing him, studying his form with those curious dark eyes. Finnick admires that curiosity. As Levi looks closer, he'll see the scars are strange irregular splotches, about the shape and size of a large coin, probably unlike any scar he's seen before, but most similar to a burn mark. They're more plentiful on Finnick's hand, his forearm, and his neck.

"It's from poison fog, in the arena. Excruciating blisters, caused on contact. Paralytic, too," Finnick murmurs, his voice a calm hum despite the horrible memory he recounts. He looks down at his own hand, observing one of the scars himself.

Quieter, he says:

"It's how Mags went."
