Enjoying the moment has become essential for Levi at this point, because he's still so accustomed to there never being any time. Planning or training or going out beyond the walls, responding to an unimaginable crisis - it was so rare to make time for anything else. You had to take those moments with the people you cared for while you could.

Perhaps he gets too stuck in his own head from time to time, thinking about it. But it's those thoughts and memories that ensure he doesn't take anything like this for granted, and hold onto the little happinesses he can find, like in the careful way Finnick holds him and moves them through the heated pool, his smile in moonlight.

He huffs softly, the sound that seems to pass for a soft laugh or chuckle, a flash of warm amusement in his eyes. "Sounds right to me." It comes out with a bit of a drawl, fingers curling in Finnick's hair at the back of his neck, and Levi thinks about kissing him again.
