He's hacking up a lung and generally crankier than usual and staying in bed for the next two days drinking tea and sleeping and probably not going to be the most pleasant person to interact with, so approach at your own risk.]

Eld? [It comes out as a high pitched squeak, her cheerful expression falling immediately. That was a name she hadn't wanted to speak of since arriving, since realizing that they hadn't followed her here. It was much too bitter to think of him, all of them. Why was he suddenly bringing that up?]

I'll be sure to tell him that, sir. [Petra's proud of herself for keeping her tone even, not choking on her words and putting on her bright expression again. She can only hope he drops the subject; she doesn't know how long she can play along, and it couldn't be good for his health if she reminded him, however gently, of what had happened in the forest.] Just focus on taking care of yourself, and we'll take care of everything else in the meanwhile, okay?

[an unfortunate thing, a fever. He can't seem to remember things clearly, or rather that things that would have seemed normal at one point but now are not, aren't registering properly. Levi can't see how she struggles, his usually strong sensitivities to the subtle non-verbal cues of others dulled by his illness.

He closes his eyes, seemingly content, and seems to relax a little more.]

[Petra's glad of that--had he been more coherent, he could have easily called her out on any lie she could have concocted. Though if he was more coherent, she wouldn't need to make up stories about dead comrades.]
